Rifle Work
We will build a rifle
for you on any make turn bolt action that you would like, but we highly
recommend that if you are planning on using a stock production action that
you use a Remington 700. The reason that I say this is that there are
so many after market parts (titanium firing pins, springs (bench rest, off
hand, etc.), shrouds, etc.) available for the Remington 700 that are
relatively inexpensive, and when installed in a blue printed action with a
sleeved bolt, will make it perform as well as any custom competition action
manufactured today as long as the barrel is bedded - not the receiver.
When you build on any other stock production action the after market
"Hot Rod" parts are virtually non-existent.
We also have an after
market Remington 700 clone manufactured to a TRO of .0001” plus or minus. These receivers are made of barrel steel
(4140-42 Chome-Moly or 416R Stainless) and can be
gotten in long or short action, left or right hand, magazine or single
shot, single port or double port.
I can't promise that the
finish on your firearm won't get nicked or scratched. I do everything
that I can to prevent it from happening (rubber vise jaw inserts, etc.),
but clamping components so that they are securely held for machine work
(lathes, mills, drill press, etc.) does lead to the occasional marred
finish.

Cryo and Blueprint Action
|
Single point cut
receiver threads true & concentric to the bore center
line. True shoulder of receiver to the bore center line.
True bolt face. True & lap receiver & bolt locking lugs
mating the surfaces to insure 95% plus contact. Hone and polish
firing pin spring channel (reduces lock time).
* Custom made oversized
bolt (.7035” diameter, 15/10,000th of an inch bolt to bolt
raceway clearance) with Sako extractor, extended bolt handle, choice of
firing pin/bolt shroud assemblies.
The bolt raceway is concentrically line bored to .705” diameter -
add $350.00
* Remington 700 receiver
sleeved (exterior sleeve increases outside diameter to 1.650")
add$600
*Bolt single sleeve -
rear - add $100.00
*Bolt double sleeved -
add $200.00

Blueprint Action |
Same as above
less the cryo treatment. This is something that I feel
very strongly about. Without the cryo treatment the assembly is
going to warp as it heats & cools. At room temperature you will
have the machined surfaces flush and square, but after it starts
to heat, who knows where, and how far they will warp. |

Accurize Factory Production Rifle |
Cut
front receiver face, and receiver locking lugs true. Cut back barrel shoulder
.10" and true.
Re-crown and hand lap barrel. Re-chamber to minimum
headspace. Cut bolt locking lugs true & lap. Cryo the action/barrel assembly.
Pillar bed and inlet the stock for stress free bedding. Range test
rifle accuracy. Target is shipped with the rifle. |
$1100.00 |
|
11 Degree Crown |
All crowns
are piloted off of the bore at both ends of the barrel, and not
1 but 2 test indicators used to center the bore in the lathe
head stock and in the spider gear and are guaranteed to be
concentric to at least 0001". The technique that we use
guarantees axial alignment. |
